Here are a handful of emails and letters we have received from our troops:

My S1 staff has received all 14 boxes and distributed them to our batteries for individual Soldier distribution….well in time for your goal of July 4th! As the NCOIC that oversees the mail staff, this is the largest outpouring of love we have received on this deployment from outstanding Americans (and even better yet…Floridians) is definitely from Send A Taste of Home! I have encouraged our battery leadership to take digital pictures of the Soldiers receiving their box.We could not do what we do without the support of people like you that wrap your arms around us from 7000 miles away. Thanks for your thoughtfulness and support. God bless you….see you in six months or so!
~ SFC Daryl DesJardin
I just wanted to thank you for the box I received today.  I made sure to share the cookies and candy and what you sent with my fellow mechanics and put the 4th of July card up on the wall here in our maintenance bay. It is so nice to know that there are still folks back home that remember us. God bless all of you...

My name is Pvt Joseph Tallent of the Florida national guard serving OEF/OIF in Kuwait/Iraq. I received your package today June 30,2010. Thank you very much for the gifts and your support. I am apart of a local unit in Winter Haven though I live in Lakeland with my wife Kellie and our three children. I just wanted to say thank you again for all that you've done for us at home while we are doing all that we can here for you here.

I was one of many who received one of your boxes. I am the Chaplain Assistant for Camp Patriot and I want to thank you so much for the yummy treats and the phone card. Could you please let all who packed the boxes and baked the "HOME"made goodies thank you. Being so far from home can be very hard on our servicemen and women. They work hard and long hours every day. Receiving gifts like these form home mean a lot to them. It reminds them they are not forgotten and refreshes their spirits to keep on going. Godbless you and everyone!
Gratefully serving our Lord and country,
~SPC Sharon Catherine Fahey

I just wanted to say thank you for the little taste of home box that you sent us. It's the little things like this that make what we do seemworthwhile. Take care and tell all of your family hi for us.
~SGT Charles R. Cox

A BIG thank you to you and all the folks at sendatasteofhome.org. The caring and support from back home has been incredible. A little taste of home does mean a lot.
~MSG Mark Martinez
My unit received your care packages a day or two ago. I wanted to personally thank you for the time and effort that was put into them. It was abundantly clear that they were sent from the heart (homemade cookies and cards, can't beat that!). I can't tell you how proud I am to be from the Central Florida area and have organizations such as yours supporting us. Please pass on my gratitude to all the people that had a hand in sending the packages to us.
God bless you!
~Cpt. C. Nathan Adams

Thank you so much for all of the 4th of July packages!! I hope you have already seen some of the pictures we took of our Soldiers opening them. As you have probably read in our newsletters, the Soldiers are working long hours in very hot temperatures and anything that makes the day special is very much appreciated.

I received the extra phone cards and CSM Ogle and I will make sure that they are distributed fairly to Soldiers who are in need of them and also as incentive for good work.

Please express my heart felt appreciation to all the individuals who are supporting us back home and provided their time and resources to make this project of love and support such a huge success.
Proud to Serve! God Bless,
~LTC Marty Nichols

I just wanted to say "Thank you" for the homemade cookies. They were pretty awesome. My shipmates and I really enjoyed them. I would also like to say Thank You for taking the time to do this for deployed Sailors, Soldiers, Marines, Airmen, and Guardians. It is truly people like you back home that give us the inspiration to keep moving forward. Again, thank you very much.
Sincerely,
MA1 Darryl Olesen; MSRON9 / USN

I just wanted to send a quick note and thank you and the church for sending the cookies for our Soldiers. They were great. I also received a note from Caleb who is in the 1st grade. Let him know I appreciate the letter. Your thoughtfulness is greatly received by all here, and it is nice to know we have the support back home.
God Bless,
Ronald J. Sachs 1SG, FLARNG B 2/116 FA
